It's been a long time since the Milwaukee Bucks had a player on their roster that was considered a lockdown defensive player. That wait may have ended with the recent acquisition of forward Ruben Patterson from Denver. Patterson arrived at the Bucks training center on Tuesday and said he's ready to take over that stoppers role. The Bucks finished 24th among the 30 NBA teams in opponents' field goal percentage last season (46.6%). The 6'5 Patterson said he's comfortable defending point guards, shooting guards, small forwards and power forwards. Patterson played four-plus seasons in Portland before being dealt to Denver last February. He averaged 12.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in 71 games last season.
