It seems just days ago that gas prices were below $3.00 a gallon in some parts of Wisconsin, and many thought the rest of the state would follow. Pam Moen with AAA-Wisconsin admits to being one thought gas prices were on the way down. “I was looking forward to the next couple of days, when hopefully we might have dropped below that $3.00 a gallon mark,” said Moen. “Then again, this week we have seen some refinery woes, that affect us particularly here in the Midwest.” Triple A Wisconsin says the statewide average for a gallon of gas is $3.15, which is actually 6-cents lower than a month ago. While gas prices in Milwaukee were under $3.00 for a while a week or two ago the price per gallon has jumped a quarter-a-gallon in the last week alone. WisconsinGasPrices.com puts the state average at $3.22 a gallon, up 15-cents from a week ago.
