Janesville Police officials are telling the community that they have a suspect in custody for six serial rape cases that occurred over the last decade.
Police says DNA evidence has linked 31-year-old Michael Huber to at least two of the crimes. However, the FBI analyzed additional evidence linking the man to the remaining cases.
Detective Marty Alstadt says he's been in contact with all of the victims to let them know, including ones that moved away from Janesville because of their fears. He says some of the most satisfying phone calls he's ever made were to tell the women their cases have been solved.
Huber is scheduled to be in court March 5th for a preliminary hearing. He's being held at the Rock County jail on a $110,000 cash bail.
