Governor Doyle is getting more support for an effort to promote renewable energy sources.
It comes from Competitive Wisconsin, a group representing business and farm interests. Executive Director Bill McCoshen says the plan will be a boost to the state's economy.
For the agriculture industry, it means an increased interest in the use of methane digesters. McCoshen says plenty of farmers would like to explore using the energy producing machines, and the Governor's plan could help to lower prices and get them out on farms.
The Governor wants 25 percent of the energy used in the state to come from renewable sources by the year 2025.
