The Governor is confident that the Miller Brewing company will continue to have a strong presence in Wisconsin.
SABMiller and Molson Coors continue to work out the details of a proposed merger. Governor Jim Doyle says he expects the new company will maintain its relationship with the state. Doyle says they've been very open about the merger, and he believes the company will still have a presence in Milwaukee.
The Governor met with Miller chief executive Graham Mackay last week, during a trade mission overseas.
Company officials have not said where their corporate headquarters will be located, although it's not expected to be in Milwaukee or Denver. Doyle says it's a decision they'll have to make to stay competitive, but it's one the company will ultimately have to make.
