A lawsuit against the Government Accountability Board will move forward.
A Dane County Judge dismissed a motion to disqualify Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen from bringing the lawsuit against the GAB. Van Hollen wants to force the Board to verify voter registrations dating back to January of 2006 using state databases. The GAB claimed Van Hollen should be disqualified because the Department of Justice already represents the board on other issues.
Several motions to intervene were also granted. As a result, the state Democratic Party, Republican Party, and union groups are now parties in the lawsuit.
An October 23rd date has been set to hear several motions in the case.
