Brewers Win…Looper Struggles

Braden Looper gave up 6 runs and 7 hits in two innings worth of work in his Cactus League debut on Thursday against the Rangers.  Looper had missed most of camp with an oblique injury.

Milwaukee still rallied for an 11-10 win when Mike Cameron scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 9th inning.  JJ Hardy went 3×4 with a homer and 3 RBI to pace the offense.  Mike Lamb also had a pinch hit 3 run homer for Milwaukee.

The Brewers will play Texas again tonight at 8pm.  That game will be televised nationally on the MLB Network.

Ryan Braun had an MRI on his ailing right side on Thursday.  The results showed no structural damage.  Braun was hurt while playing for Team USA at the World Baseball Classic.  He returned to Brewers camp on Wednesday and drew a pair of walks before being pulled from the game.
