A former high school resources officer with the Milton Police Department will not face criminal charges, after he was accused of sending lewd text messages to a female student. Officer Jason Casper was accused of inappropriately touching a student when she was 17 and then sending her text messages when she turned 18. Milton Police Chief Jerry Schuetz says an investigation of the case found the girl reciprocated with text messages of her own, so the conduct did not rise to the level of criminal charges.
Casper resigned as a Milton police officer, but was not decertified as a Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officer. Schuetz says Casper could seek employment in another department.
