Helping police get the picture

State lawmakers want to make sure police are able to verify that they’re arresting the right person.  Legislation at the Capitol would give police in the field access to the state’s database of driver’s license and ID photos.

Teens arrested in hospital bomb scare

Bomb threats made for a difficult weekend at a Dane County hospital. Stoughton police say they are recommending several charges against two juveniles arrested in connection with the rash of bomb threats at Stoughton Hospital.

More than a dozen patients were evacuated from the hospital Sunday afternoon, as a safety precaution. Police say the bomb threats started coming in Saturday night and continued into Sunday morning, and they had to take them seriously. A thorough check of the hospital came up with nothing. Stoughton is about 20 miles southeast of Madison.
