After back to back wins to start the Big Ten season, the Wisconsin Badgers moved up to #17 in the A.P. Top 25 college basketball poll and to #20 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll.
Those rankings will be put to the test this week when the Badgers travel to #10 Michigan State tomorrow (Wed.) night and then return home to host 4th ranked Purdue on Saturday.
The Badgers are 3-0 against ranked teams this season, picking up wins over Ohio State, Maryland and Duke along the way.
Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan (pictured) is looking for defensive improvement from his team. The Badgers entered the week #1 in the Big Ten and 4th nationally in scoring defense (56.4 ppg). Ryan said they’ll be working hard to improve in practice before facing the Spartans in East Lancing on Wednesday night.
