Brewers surpass 1-million tickets sold

Miller ParkThe Milwaukee Brewers surpassed the 1-million mark in tickets sold for the upcoming season on Monday.  It’s the second-earliest date in franchise history.

The only time the Brewers 1-million tickets faster was last year, when they hit the mark on January 19th.

The Brewers have gone over 3-million fans in total attendance for each of the last two years, the only times they achieved that milestone in team history.

Bucks’ Jennings is Player of the Month, again!

Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings is the NBA’s Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for the third straight time.

Jennings has won the award every month this season.  He started all 15 games in January for the Bucks, averaging 14.2 points and 6.6 assists.

No player has ever won the monthly award more than three times in a season.  Jennings joins Raymond Felton (2005-06), Al Horford (2007-08) and Derrick Rose (2008-09) as the only three-time winners.

Badgers after 7th straight home win under Bo against MSU

Bo RyanWisconsin vs. Michigan State has turned out to be quite a college basketball rivalry.  Why?   Because the Badgers have started to win of late.  Since Bo Ryan took over in Madison, the Badgers are 11-5 against the Spartans overall and 6-0 under Bo Ryan at the Kohl Center.

The two teams hook up in a Big Ten battle tonight in Madison.  It’s a big game for both the Badgers and the rest of the Big Ten Conference.  Tom Izzo’s Spartans are threatening to run away with the Big Ten.  They’re 9-0 in conference play, 3-games better than the (6-3) second place Badgers.  A win for the Badgers would at least make the Conference race a bit more interesting down the stretch, for the Badgers and other teams that would be drawn into the race. Andrew Bogut had 22 points and 11 rebounds and Carlos Delfino added 16 points and 10 boards as the Bucks climbed to within 2-games of the slumping Heat for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Bucks got behind early, but Scott Skiles team battled back to outscore Miami 54-27 over the final 19 1/2 minutes to pull away.
