Snowmobile fees, rules discussed at capitol

A bill in the legislature requires all snowmobiles to display a trail-use sticker.

The Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs says trail maintenance costs have gone up significantly over the past decade, while registration fees have not.

Bucks Conitnue Playoff Push in New York

The Milwaukee Bucks (26-28) currently sit one game out of the Eastern Conference Playoffs as they visit the New York Knicks (19-35) tonight.  Milwaukee has won 5 of their last 7 games including Saturday night holding off Charlotte 93-88.  The Bobcats (27-27) currently own the final spot in the east.

The 8th spot is not the only spot in a realistic grasp for the Bucks; they also trail 7th seeded Miami by 1.5 games, 6th seeded Chicago by 2.5 games and even 5th seeded Toronto by 4.5 games.  Before all that though, there is a long way to go as Head Coach Scott Skiles explains…

Former Badger Helps Lead U.S.A Over Canada

Sunday night was the first time in 50-years that Team U.S.A defeated Team Canada in Olympic Hockey.  The Americans topped the Canadians 5-3 to move to 3-0 in the preliminary round.

In the 1990-1991 Hockey Season, Brian Rafalski was skating with the Madison Capitols.  He then played the next four seasons with the Badger Hockey Team.  Sunday, Rafalski netted a pair of goals and notched an assist for Team U.S.A.

Marquette’s Bubble Still in Tact

Needing a victory after Thursday’s loss at home to Pittsburgh, the Marquette Men went on the road and knocked off Cincinnati in overtime 79-76.  Darius Johnson-Odom and Lazar Hayward each scored 20-points to lead the Golden Eagles.   Hayward’s 3-pointer with 27.5 seconds left tied the game at 67 to force overtime.

The difference in this game can be found by looking at the charity stripe.  Marquette hit 16 of 17 (94.1%) while Cincinnati connected on just 8 of 16 (50.o%).

Badger Men Net 20th Victory

The #14 Badger Men held off a late charge from Northwestern Sunday at the Kohl Center to notch a 70-63 win over the Wildcats.  Senior Jason Bohannon lead four Badgers in double-figures with 17-points playing all 40 minutes.

In his second game back from a wrist injury, Junior Jon Leuer had 11-points with a big block in the final minutes of the game.  Badger Head Coach Bo Ryan on Leuer’s performance…
