A Racine man is off to prison for a punch that felled a popular Kenosha special education teacher, causing his death. Twenty-year old Martin Walker has been sentenced to seven years behind bars, then five years of extended supervision. It stems from his actions outside a Kenosha nightspot in February 2009 .The victim, Colin Byars, fell backward from Walker’s punch, and struck his head, suffering what turned into a fatal brain injury.
WIAC Basketball Tournaments Begin Tonight
With March Madness looming, it’s time once again for the conference tournaments to start taking place. The WIAC Men and Women hit the floor tonight for the first round of games.

Bogut’s Big Night Leads Bucks
In the last 20-years, only Orlando’s Dwight Howard and Milwaukee’s Andrew Bogut have posted a 20/20 game at Madison Square Garden. Bogut had 24 points and 20 rebounds Monday in the Bucks 83-67 win over the New York Knicks. Milwaukee swept the three-game season series from New York.
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute also posted a double-double in the win with 11-points and 11-boards while newly acquired John Salmons added 15-points. The Knicks were led by Tracy McGrady with 15-points and David Lee’s 12-point and 13-rebound performance.
Million dollar ticket now a worthless piece of paper
The window has closed on a chance to redeem a Wisconsin lottery ticket worth a million dollars. The ticket was purchased in Caledonia on August 26th and the 180 days to claim the money has passed. Wisconsin Lottery Spokesman Andrew Bohage can only speculate why the ticket holder did not step forward.
Farmer’s share for food remains same
Some attention this week is on farmers and the consumers of their product.
Although we have seen food prices rise and fall over the past two years, Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation spokesman Casey Langan says the farmer’s share of the food dollar remains constant.
