Drunken skiers from Illinois do the darndest things. Dane County deputies were called to Tyrol Basin ski area near Mount Horeb Monday night after a 24 year old intoxicated Illinois man jumped into an ambulance and took it for a spin. Sheriffs spokeswoman Elise Schaefer says a patient and Fitch-Rona EMS crew, inside the ambulance at the time, were not injured in any way. As for the ambulance thief, he was taken to jail.
