Fond du Lac’s Miracle Mile has another millionaire. Someone who purchased tickets for last night’s Powerball game at Ma & Pa’s won $1 million for the Power Play Match 5. Over the years the store has sold winning lottery tickets worth more than $280 million. That includes a $208 million Powerball winner in 2006 won by 100 employees of Sargento Cheese.

Van Hollen seeks to challenge federal health reform
Wisconsin’s Attorney General is asking lawmakers and the Governor to let him file a legal challenge against the federal health care reform bill.
Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen says state law prevents him from challenging the bill signed by President Obama this week, unless the Legislature or Governor Doyle authorizes him to do so. WIAA Girls State Basketball Tournament tips today
The day stars with the division four semifinals. Newman Catholic (24-2) and Weston (24-3) open up today’s festivities at 9:05. Northwood (25-0) and Black Hawk (26-1) follow in the second D4 match-up.
The division one quarterfinals then take the court in the afternoon and evening sessions. The first games is between three-time defending state champion Milwaukee Vincent (23-2) and Racine Case (19-5) which tips at 1:35. Vincent looks to become the first girls team in WIAA history with four-straight basketball titles.
Rounding out the afternoon session are Verona (22-3) and Pius XI (23-3). The night session puts De Pere (24-1) and Beaver Dam (24-1) at 6:35 PM. Ending the night are Wausau West (22-4) and Middleton (22-3).
Friday is the Division 1,2 and 3 semifinals with all four divisions crowning a champion on Saturday.
