Police in Racine continue investigating the shooting deaths of a man and woman in an apartment across the street from a grade school. A neighbor, checking on the welfare of the man and his girlfriend, came upon an open apartment door with both persons on the floor, and a gun nearby.
Bucks host Heat
Two of the NBA’s hottest teams meet on the Bradley Center floor tonight as the Milwaukee Bucks (39-31) host the Miami Heat (38-34). Milwaukee has won 15 of their last 18 while the Heat have put together 9-wins in their last 12.
The game has heavy playoff implications attached to it. Milwaukee currently holds a two-game lead over Miami for the 5th spot on the Eastern Conference Playoff ladder. The Bucks do hold the tie-breaker over Miami already holding a 3-0 lead in the season series. Bucks Guard Jerry Stackhouse hopes to see his team focused tonight:

Jolly’s trial finally has a date
Packer defensive lineman Johnny Jolly will face a jury trial May 21st in Texas stemming from his arrest for possession of codeine in July of 2008.
For months, Jolly has seen his court dates delayed while both sides built their cases. Jolly is accused of possessing 200-grams of codeine and could face up to 20-years in prison on the charges though unlikely considering his clean record.
Jolly is entering his 5th NFL season in 2010, all with the Packers. In 2009 he started all 16-games and recorded 39-tackles and forced a fumble.
Badgers start climb to the Frozen Four
The Wisconsin Men’s Hockey Team (25-10-4) earned the #1 seed in the West region by skating to a second place finish in the WCHA regular season. Tonight they open up their NCAA Tournament run against 4th seeded Vermont (17-14-7) at the XcelEnergy Center in St. Paul.
Vermont was the final team to earn an at-large bid into the tournament. The Badgers won’t take them lightly because of their record according to WCHA Defensive Player of the Year Brendan Smith. Smith says the win-or-go-home format forces you to take it game-by-game:
WIAA Girls State Basketball Tournament continues
Today is day two of the WIAA Girls State Basketball Tournament from the Kohl Center in Madison. On the floor today is the division one, two and three semifinals.
The division three semifinals open up the day as Brillion (26-1) takes on Cuba City (27-0) at 9:05. That game is followed by Osseo-Fairchild (26-1) and Oostburg (23-4) in the second D3 semifinal.
