The Wisconsin Badgers sent out their seniors in fine fashion last night, rolling to a 67-40 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes at the Kohl Center.
Senior guards Trevon Hughes and Jason Bohannon both got the Badgers rolling early, helping Wisconsin with an 18-0 run midway through the first half. It resulted in the Badgers 3rd straight win and 22nd overall this season.
Hughes and Bohannon scored 15 and 11 points respectively and junior forward Jon Leuer continued his comeback from a broken wrist by pouring in 18 points in the Badgers win.
The Badgers (22-7, 12-5 Big Ten) clinched 4th place in the Big Ten and could still move into the 3rd spot for the upcoming Big Ten Tournament.
The Badgers beat the Hawkeyes for the 9th straight time at the Kohl Center. The 40 points allowed is also a season low for the Badgers, who close out the regular season at Illinois on Sunday.
