Alleged meth couple in custody
Tentative charges of manufacturing methamphetamine have been filed against a couple in Lafayette county. Bobette and Jeremy Herbst are now behind bars after the lab was found at their Gratiot home on Wednesday. Neither was home at the time, but Bobette was arrested that night, while Jeremy was on the run. He turned himself in Thursday night.

Medical marijuana bill burns out
It looks like Wisconsin will not be joining the list of states that have legalized medical marijuana.
With the legislative session set to end this month, state Senator Jon Erpenbach (D-Waunakee) says the chances of the bill coming up for a vote are not looking good and he doubts it will pass. [Read more...]
Heightened concerns as governors receive letters
Governors across the U.S., including Wisconsin’s Jim Doyle, have been receiving letters from an extremist group demanding their immediate resignation.
The letters came from an organization called Guardians of Free Republics and in some cases, the governors have been told to leave their offices or they would be “commandeered.” Wisconsin Department of Administration spokeswoman Carla Vigue says there were “no explicit threats to the governor” in the letter, but that the FBI was notified. Brewers host Tigers tonight
Milwaukee Brewer officials say plenty of tickets remain for exhibitions with the Detroit Tigers at Miller Park both tonight and tomorrow afternoon. Around 15,000 fans are expected tonight and 20,000 tomorrow afternoon. Tickets for the games are general admission and cost $10 each.
The Brewers wrapped up Cactus League action yesterday, falling to Arizona 12-3.
The Brewers open the regular season Monday against the Colorado Rockies at Miller Park.
