Timber Rattlers to play doubleheader on Friday

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers will open their season with a doubleheader on Friday night against Kane County at Fox Cities Stadium.  Today’s regular season opener was postponed by weather.

Brewers right hander Jeff Suppan will still pitch tomorrow night.  He’ll start the first game of the doubleheader at 6pm. 

The two games will be reduced to a pair of 7-inning games.  Fans with tickets for the postponed season opener tonight, can exchange them for any other regular season date this season.

Bucks put playoff tickets up for sale tomorrow

The Milwaukee Bucks will start selling individual game tickets for the teams first two home playoff games on Friday (April 9) at noon.

The Bucks first two home games of the best-of-seven first round series would be played late in the week of April 19.  Exact times, dates and opponents will be determined next week.

Titans knock off Pointers in D-3 College baseball

The UW-Oshkosh Titans knocked off 19th ranked UW-Stevens Point 13-10 in the first game of a doubleheader in Oshkosh on Wednesday.  The Pointers clubbed 4-home runs in the loss.

In game two, Stevens Point held an 11-1 lead when the game was suspended after four innings due to inclement weather.  The game will resume at 11am on April 14th at Tiedemann Field prior to the a regularly scheduled doubleheader between the two teams.

Timber Rattlers opener postponed

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers season opener against Kane County tonight (Thursday) at Fox Cities Stadium has been postponed because of snow.

No makeup date has been announced by the team.  That information is expected to be made and released around noon today.

Slow start for Davis, Brewers rescue their starter

Doug DavisDoug Davis spotted the Colorado Rockies 3-runs in the first inning, throwing 40 pitches in the frame.  The total damage was 4 runs and six hits with three walks in four innings, but the Milwaukee Brewers bullpen came to the rescue and the Brewers rebounded for a 5-4 win. 

After losing the opener, the Brewers took 2 of 3 in the series.  For Davis, it was an ugly beginning, but he knew if he could minimize the damage, the Brewers would still have a chance.
