Bucks wrap up regular season play this week

There’s two games left in the NBA’s regular season for the Milwaukee Bucks.  The first of those two games is tonight when the Bucks host the Atlanta Hawks at the Bradley Center.

The Bucks could still face either Atlanta or Boston in the first round of the playoffs.  They remain tied with Miami for the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Bucks center Kurt Thomas said the important thing for the Bucks is gaining some momentum as they head into the post-season.

The 3rd ranked Warhawks improved to 18-1 on the season.

A mixed bag at the Masters for state golfers

Madison’s Jerry Kelly shot an even par 72 at Augusta on Sunday, finishing 3-under par for the week and tied for 12th.  His top-16 finish also means he’ll be back for the 2011 Masters.

The news wasn’t as good for fellow Madison native Steve Stricker.  Stricker shot a 1-under par 71 on Sunday, but finished at 3-over par for the tournament and in a tie for 30th place.

It was an emotional win for Mickelson, who has watched while his wife and his mother are both battling breast cancer.    Watching Mickelson be able to share the moment with his wife Amy and his family, was both emotional and thrilling.

Mickelson said, “I don’t normally shed tears over wins, but when Amy and I hugged off 18, that was a very emotional moment for us and something I’ll look back on and cherish.” [Read more...]
