After a slow start by the Milwaukee Brewers pitching staff, right hander Dave Bush tossed 7-shutout innings and led the Brewers to an easy 8-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. It allowed the Brewers to capture their first series opener in 5 tries.
Bush allowed just 3-hits and 4 walks in picking up his first win of the season. He lowered his ERA to 2.41 on the season. Catcher Greg Zaunn said Bush was outstanding.
