Provus’ role grows with Uecker sidelined

Bob Uecker is expected to be away from the broadcast booth for 2 to 3 months after heart surgery on Friday.  In his absence, Cory Provus will see his role expanded.

While the team is on it’s upcoming 10-game road trip, FS Wisconsin’s Davey Nelson will join Provus and serve as an analyst for the trip.

Bullpen coach Stan Kyles is scheduled to undergo prostate surgery on Thursday in Spartanburg, SC.  Kyles is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Kyles was diagnosed with prostate cancer in spring training.
