Doug Davis spotted the Colorado Rockies 3-runs in the first inning, throwing 40 pitches in the frame. The total damage was 4 runs and six hits with three walks in four innings, but the Milwaukee Brewers bullpen came to the rescue and the Brewers rebounded for a 5-4 win.
After losing the opener, the Brewers took 2 of 3 in the series. For Davis, it was an ugly beginning, but he knew if he could minimize the damage, the Brewers would still have a chance.
