Packers sign three after weekend tryout

The Green Bay Packers signed North Carolina nose tackle Aleric Mullins, Tennessee State safety Anthony Levine and Bishop University wide receiver Shawn Gore following the teams rookie orientation mini-camp this past weekend.

All three were among several players getting tryouts during the mini-camp.

Salmons must decide to stay or go

When the Milwaukee Bucks made the deal that brought John Salmons to Milwaukee in a trade with the Chicago Bulls, that’s when the teams playoff hopes went up dramatically.  Now that the season is over, it’s time for the Bucks to do whatever they can to keep him around.

In fact, if you live in Salmons neighborhood, mow his lawn or wash his car.  Do whatever it takes for Salmons to stay in Milwaukee.  Unless the Bucks pony up for a long term deal, Salmons has one year left on his contract, but he can opt out of the deal and become a free agent if he desires. DNR looking for texted tips

The DNR is asking the public to text in tips about possible illegal activity. The agency is launching a new tip line for text messages, where the public can report those who are breaking state hunting, fishing, and environmental laws, among many others.

Chief Conservation Warden Randy Stark says it could prove to be a valuable tool because the public plays such a critical role in catching those who are harming the environment. [Read more...]
