Packers switching things up on defense

The Green Bay Packers have made a position change on the defensive line.  Ryan Pickett and B.J. Raji have switched positions.  Raji is now the starting nose tackle and Pickett is the left defensive end. 

Defensive Coordinator Dom Capers was asked if he’s getting players ready for the possibility of not having Johnny Jolly.

Jensen to be retried in Waukesha County

A disgraced former legislative leader will get a new trial. The Wisconsin Supreme Court has unanimously decided to overturn two lower court rulings and grant former State Assembly speaker Scott Jensen a new trial in his home area. The town of Brookfield Republican will be retried for misconduct in office in Waukesha County stemming from 2002 charges he used state resources to run a campaign.

A group is attempting to tackle the issue of infant mortality in Wisconsin by targeting stress in people’s lives. Lorraine Lathen, President of Jump at the Sun consultants, says the racial disparity in birth outcomes in Wisconsin is staggering.

Lawmaker wants override of raw milk veto

One of the sponsors of legislation to legalize the sale of raw milk in Wisconsin says he will push for an override of the Governor’s veto.

The Governor vetoed the bill Wednesday, citing concerns that raw milk sales could lead to a disease outbreak that would threaten public health and the reputation of the dairy industry. Despite those concerns, State Representative Chris Danou (R-Trempealeau) says he thinks an override attempt is possible. [Read more...]

New law targets roadside signs

A new law in Wisconsin makes it more difficult to put out signs for garage and rummage sale signs.

Deb Brucaya with the DOT says they can be a hazard to crews that mow the medians along highways. It can also be dangerous for those placing the signs, since they may have to dodge traffic to place them in a highly visible area. [Read more...]
