The Green Bay Gamblers captured the 2010 USHL Clark Cup Championship, finishing off their best of 5 series against Fargo with a 5-3 win on Wednesday night. The Gamblers trailed in the series 2-games to none at one point, but reeled off three-straight wins. Forward Anders Lee.
It was Lee’s game tying goal in game 3 that gave the Gamblers the momentum to win three straight to capture the Clark Cup.
The Gamblers sold tickets for $5 apiece for the championship game and the fans responded by buying up all the seats. More than 8,400 fans packed the Resch Center and Gamblers coach Jon Cooper said the crowd definitely made an impact.
It’s the Gamblers first Clark Cup Championship since 2000.
