Wisconsin’s unemployment rate dropped in April.
The Department of Workforce Development says the state added over 16-thousand jobs last month, reflecting the largest one-month jump in jobs in Wisconsin in over 14 years.
The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 8.5-percent in April, down from 8.8-percent in March and well below the national rate of 9.9-percent.
DWD Secretary Roberta Gassman says the lower rate reflects the state’s continued economic recovery.
