A deadly start to the summer travel season

May marked a dangerous month on Wisconsin’s highways.

According to the state DOT, 63 people were killed last month in 58 traffic crashes throughout Wisconsin. Dennis Hughes, head of Transportation Safety for the State Patrol, says it was one of the deadliest months in the state in quite some time. [Read more...]

Authorities raid Sauk County dairy farm

A Wisconsin dairy farmer could face charges for illegally selling raw milk.

On Wednesday, Vernon Hershberger of Grazen Farms near Loganville was issued a warrant by Sauk County Police. His property was searched, and dairy products were taken by authorities. [Read more...]

Coach throws verbal bouquet at Giacomini

After two unproductive seasons with the Green Bay Packers, it appeared that Breno Giacomini’s days could be numbered in Green Bay.  But not so, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

Capuano continues comeback tonight

Chris Capuano continues his comeback from two Tommy John surgeries when he makes his first start since September 8, 2007.  Capuano has spent the last two years recovering and will start the series finale against the Brewers tonight.  Capuano said he likes the path that he’s taken to get back to the majors.

Griffey retires, Suppan should take notice

Ken Griffey Jr. retired Wednesday night, ending one of the great careers in baseball history. 

Griffey told the Mariners he would never allow himself to be a distraction and that’s what he was turning out to be. 

Griffey was hitting only .184 with no homers and seven RBI’s this year.  Griffey was a 13-time all-star outfielder and ranks fifth all-time with 630 home runs.  He won an MVP award and was an 11-time gold glover.  [Read more...]
