Fighting rains on Tuesday, WIAA State Tournament was able to complete 5 of the 6 scheduled games on day 1.

U.S. Open coming to Wisconsin

Wisconsin will host one of golf’s biggest events in 2017, when the U.S. Open will be played in Washington County at the Erin Hills golf course.

Outside donors lead legislative fundraising

Some of the biggest campaign donations to state lawmakers came from people who can’t even vote for them.

Bucks work out more players, including Marquette’s Hayward

Six more players are in Milwaukee today, working out for the Bucks in pre-draft workouts.  Among the six is Marquette senior forward Lazar Hayward and Butler Sophomore forward Gordon Hayward.

Also in the group of six players is:

Luke Babbitt  -  Sophomore  -  Nevada
Terrico White  -  Sophomore  -  Ole Miss
Jordan Crawford  -  Sophomore  -  Xavier
Darington Hobson  -  Junior  -  New Mexico

The Bucks play to work out more players Thursday and Friday at the teams training center.

Unclaimed property tour continues

You may have unclaimed property coming to you. State Treasurer Dawn Marie Sass has been hitting the road since taking office in January of 2005. She visits all 72 counties once a year. “We have over a million property ID numbers, to the tune of about $355 million owed to Wisconsin residents and businesses,” explained Sass. “We take the database out into the public and file claims for them on the spot, and let them know that this is not a scam and there really is money out there.” [Read more...]
