Small tornado in SE Wisconsin

A small tornado struck near Racine Sunday afternoon. It was classified as an EF-Zero, barely a tornado, with winds of 65 to 85- miles an hour. It was on the ground around five minutes, starting around the police and fire building in the Village of Sturtevant, and continuing east along a major highway.

Wisconsin’s Ramage, Clark taken in NHL Draft

Wisconsin Badger defenseman John Ramage and future forward Jason Clark heard their names called during the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. 

Ramage, a St. Louis native, was chosen in the fourth round, 103rd overall by the Calgary Flames.  John Ramage is the son of former No. 1 overall draft pick, Rob Ramage. 

Clark, an Eden Prairie, Minnesota, native, went to the New York Islanders in the third round of the draft with the 82nd overall pick. 

Clark is a spring signee of the Badgers.  He’ll come to Wisconsin from Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Faribault, Minnesota. 

The selections of Ramage and Clark extend Wisconsin’s streak to 13 consecutive years during which it had at least one-student-athlete selected in the NHL Draft.

Davis to make rehab start with Timber Rattlers on Wednesday

Narveson shuts down Mariners

Chris Narveson tossed 8-innings of 4-hit, shutout ball to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 3-0 win over the Seattle Mariners at Miller Park on Sunday.  It’s the first scoreless outing in 17 career Major League starts for Narveson
(7-4).

Rickie Weeks led off the bottom of the first inning with his 17th career lead-off home run.  Weeks finished with four hits as the Brewers took 2 of 3 in the series and have won 6 of their last 7 games.

The loss goes to Jason Vargas (6-3), his first defeat since May 4th.

Corey Hart also drove in Alcides Escobar with a run scoring double, extending his hitting streak to 12 games.  Prince Fielder then capped off the scoring with by driving in Hart with a run scoring single.

John Axford struck out the side in the 9th for his 7th save.  He’s perfect in that department since replacing veteran Trevor Hoffman.

In GOP Senate race, Westlake giving Johnson a run for his money (AUDIO)

Dave Westlake is still making it a race in the Republican primary for Russ Feingold’s U.S. Senate seat. The Watertown small business owner and U.S. Army veteran says his number one task is to shrink the size of government and cut taxes by combating fraud, waste and abuse. “If you want to see a great example of people taking advantage of government programs, and fraud, waste and abuse, watch what happens when BP starts paying out money for this (oil spill) remediation program,” Westlake said. “We saw it first hand in Katrina. Wes still have people in Louisiana living in FEMA trailers.”
