The Wisconsin Supreme Court issues a pair of rulings which allow certain warrantless vehicle searches by police. In one case, Michael Littlejohn was arrested for driving with a revoked license. Officers searched Littlejohn’s locked car and found marijuana and cocaine. A search of the locked trunk revealed more marijuana, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. Based on this evidence, the police obtained a warrant to search Littlejohn’s residence, where they found additional incriminating evidence.
Free computer skills training available
The Elevate America program is a public-private partnership between Microsoft and Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development to provide online computer training to residents across the state. “This is an excellent opportunity for people to get free training in technology.”

Storms bring flooding, possible twisters
Storms brought twisters, flooding and power outages throughout Wisconsin. Three-to-four tornadoes appeared to touch down in the middle-third of Wisconsin last night. The National Weather Service said there were touchdowns in Wisconsin Rapids and Fort McCoy and a possible twister at Neenah. Wisconsin Emergency Operations Center said a tornado may have also damaged a house in Pierce County, where homes and barns went down near Ellsworth.
Hundreds hit Milwaukee for youth games
Hundreds of young athletes from around the country descend upon Milwaukee for the US Youth Games. USYG General Manager Russell Thomas says the event was started in the early 70′s by then Mayor of New York John Lindsay as way for inner city youngsters to compete with their counterparts from other parts of the country.
Wisconsin’s Leuer to play with basketball’s best
Wisconsin senior Jon Leuer is headed to Las Vegas this weekend to train
with some of the NBA’s best, players like Lebron James, Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade.
Leuer’s job will be to help Team USA prepare for this summer’s World Championships in Turkey. Leuer is one of five Big Ten players on a 20-man U.S. Select team roster and it’s a chance to show he’s one of college basketball’s best.
