It was anything but sunny and warm in part of Kenosha for a time Thursday. A noon hour thunderstorm made an abrupt but forceful visit thru the west part of Kenosha and the neighboring Town of Somers.
The storm tore at cable, phone and electrical wires and put trees onto a few garages and cars. Part of the roof of the building was torn off at the Business Park of Kenosha, while a small plane was moved from its parking spot at the Kenosha Regional Airport.
The busiest of Kenosha’s west side intersections lost their traffic signals causing massive congestion. Repair crews from WE Energies had their hands full restoring power to almost 5,000 people. Some waited until nine o’clock last night for the chance to get their air conditioning back.
