The second round of the British Open had a wind delay early and nobody went under par when play resumed. Enough time was lost though to force suspension of the 2nd round, which means some players will go back out early tomorrow morning to complete the round.
Luis Oosthuizen shot a 5-under par 67 to go 12-under for the tournament. He’ll take a 5-shot lead over Mark Calcavecchiainto the 3rd round tomorrow.
The projected cut line was at -1 early on. As conditions got worse, that line went to 1-over par. That means Madison’s Steve Stricker, who shot a 2-over par 74, settled at +1 for the first two rounds. That will keep him around for the weekend. Fellow Madison native Jerry Kelly will head home early. Kelly shot a 3-over par 75 to finish the first two rounds at 10-over par.
Tiger Woods shot a 1-over par 67 and heads into the weekend at 4-under par.
