Polar bear club marks special year

Wisconsinites will be dipping into icy waters but one polar bear club marks a special year. It began 25 years ago when 14-year-old Iowa native JR Jarosh lost a five-mile race with his father, “I remember at the time thinking he was an old man. He was 39. The Rose Bowl Is Saturday

The Wisconsin Badgers are smelling roses today as kickoff against TCU is set for Saturday afternoon at the Rose Bowl.  Wisconsin is considered the “big boy” in the Grand Daddy of Them All this year.  TCU at 12-0 is the “little guy” coming out of a non-BCS conference.  Head coach Brett Bielema says that his team is not only playing for themselves on Saturday, but also the Big Ten and all the BCS schools when they get things going in Pasadena.  UW is a 3 point underdog to the Horned Frogs in Las Vegas.  TCU wants to find a way to win to show that they belong with the power conference schools.  Coach Bielema told reporters at Thursday’s new conference that he thinks the key matchup will be the Badger offense vs. the TCU defense.

Kickoff from the Rose Bowl on Saturday is set for just after 4pm Wisconsin time.
