Cold shooting leads to another Bucks defeat!

Another sub par shooting performance means another loss for the Milwaukee Bucks, 90-77 to the Bulls in Chicago.

Walker unveils senior-level staff

Governor-elect Scott Walker announced today who will serve as his senior-level staff beginning January 3. At least one pick comes recently from the private sector. Eric Schutt, the incoming Deputy Chief of Staff, was previously the vice president of state government affairs for UnitedHealth Group (UHG). Prior to joining UHG he was a long time aide to Republican campaigns and lawmakers.

Packers to send 5 players to Pro Bowl

The Pro Bowl squads were announced on Tuesday and the Green Bay Packers

Greg Jennings - 1st Pro Bowl

have five players named to the NFC team.

Chad Clifton and Greg Jennings were selected on offense, with Jennings making his very first trip.  Nick Collins, Clay Matthews and Charles Woodson are the defensive players selected and all three will start.

It’s the most Pro Bowl selections since the Packers also sent 5 players to the 2007 Pro Bowl game.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers and defensive back Tramon Williams were named first alternates.

Walker taking time with cabinet picks

With less than a week to go before he’s sworn in to office, Governor-elect Scott Walker has yet to announce the key members of his administration. Walker says he is making progress towards getting those people in place, and hinted to reporters Tuesday that he hopes to name his cabinet secretaries later this week.

Walker is offering few details about who those agency heads will be. Although, he did indicate at least one of them is from outside of the state and has experience working with federal policy. [Read more...]

New legislator lives in brother’s basement

A soon to be sworn in state lawmaker is living in his brother’s basement. State Representative-elect Joe Knilans is defending against allegations he doesn’t live in the 44th Assembly District he’ll represent. The Republican’s family lives in the 45th Assembly District on the east side of Janesville, so he’s leasing space in his brother’s basement on the other side of town. “That will be my legal residence until I can find something else, or we can sell our house and them my whole family can move into the district,” said Knilans.
