Arguing AGAINST repealing a new state law. State Representative State Nass wants to repeal a new state law which gives the state Department of Public Instruction authority to order schools to stop using Indian logos and nicknames. “I’m sorry to hear that Representative Nass is choosing to do that,” said Barbara Munson of the Wisconsin Indian Education Association. Green Bay Packers lineup and had his most productive day as an NFL quarterback, leading the Packers to a 45-17 win over the New York Giants at Lambeau Field.

Rodgers passed for 404 yards and 4 touchdowns, completing 25 of 37 passes and finishing with a quarterback rating of 139.9.  His 404 yards were the most by a Packers quarterback since Lynn Dickey threw for 418 against Tampa Bay in 1980. [Read more...]

NBC skips past Packers and Bears

NBC has made its choice and it’s not the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears that play a night game this coming Sunday night.  Instead, the St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks game at Qwest Field, with the winner of the NFC West to be decided, will get the prime time call.

Fox has announced that they’ll move the Packers/Bears noon kickoff to the late national game at 3:15, with that game going out to most of the country.

New grads edge out experienced applicants

There’s another crop of new college graduates entering the Wisconsin workforce. Meanwhile laid off workers may be applying for the same openings.

A different approach to failing schools

A new report suggests a new approach may be needed to fix failing schools.

The study from the Thomas Fordham Institute tracked the progress of failing schools in ten states over a five year period, including several in Wisconsin. Institute Vice President Mike Petrilli says the results showed efforts to turn them around fell short, and many remained low performing and still open. [Read more...]
