Fond du Lac is the latest to ban synthetic pot

The City of Fond du Lac has joined 17 other cities around the state that have enacted ordinances prohibiting the possession of K2 or other forms of synthetic marijuana. The Council unanimously adopted the ordinance last night making it a municipal violation to possess it.

Woodson gives president a Packers jersey

Green Bay Packers defensive back is still miffed at President Barack Obama saying he’d go to the Super Bowl if the Chicago Bears won

the NFC Championship.  With the President making a stop in Wisconsin today, Woodson took the time to make arrangements for Obama to receive a Packers uniform.

Woodson was asked at a press conference at Lambeau Field today if there is still room for President Obama on the Green Bay Packers band wagon?

Woodson and the Packers will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl 45 a week from Sunday in Dallas.

President Obama stops in Wisconsin

In Manitowoc, President Barack Obama reiterates some points he made in his state of the union address, talking about funding research and development, making reference to the space race. Obama said “This is our generation’s Sputnik moment.”

At Orion Energy Systems in Manitowoc, Obama says America needs to continue to lead the world in innovation, and job creation. “It was right here, almost 50 years ago … that a chunk of metal came crashing down to the earth right here … It turns out that it was part of a satellite called Sputnik and it landed right here and it set the Space Race in motion. ” [Read more...]

Racine County Board calls for compliance

A Racine County Board member says Sheriff’s deputies should be told to resume taking driver and passenger information in traffic stops, as required by state law.

Sheriff Christopher Schmaling ordered officers earlier this month to stop collecting the information, citing concerns about the extra time it adds to traffic stops and that it could put officer safety at risk.  Kenosha County made a similar move. [Read more...]

Helicopters helping DNR catch deer

The Department of Natural Resources is undertaking a massive effort to study the life and movement of Wisconsin’s deer herd. The agency began using helicopters this week to track and capture deer living around Shawano and Rusk Counties. [Read more...]
