Charges filed in murder of young boys

While police say 28-year-old David Hoem did not admit to police that he killed four-year-old Kevin McArthur and his three-year-old brother Kemaurey, they say he did tell investigators the biblical figure Daniel had simply given the boys a big embrace while they were in his car, after which they both smiled and went to sleep.

Hoem, who was the boyfriend of the boys’ mother, is accused of strangling the children and is being charged with two counts of first degree intentional homicide. [Read more...]

The cougar was killed by a motor vehicle six weeks ago in Connecticut — that’s 1055 miles away from its first recorded sighting in Champlin, Minnesota on December 5th, 2009. “Yeah, this represents probably new records of movement for a cougar.” [Read more...]

Barnett Will Be Traded or Cut.

Nick Barnett will be a salary cap casualty in Green Bay.  The Packers linebacker says he was told on Tuesday that the team would either trade him or cut him before camp opens up.  That would free up about $5 million dollars in salary cap space for the team.  In a Tweet Barnett stated “Thanks for the great 8 years. Very blessed 2 be apart of such a great tradition and great fans”  It’s very unlikley that the Packers will find somone willing to trade for Barnett so he’ll most likley be cut on Thursday.
