According to the Green Bay Press Gazette today, Green Bay Packers linebacker
Clay Matthews played the second half of last season with a stress fracture in his lower leg.
Counting playoffs last year, Matthews racked up 17 quarterback sacks.
The Packers may have to add a kicker to their roster heading into Saturday night’s preseason opener at Cleveland. Kicker Mason Crosby sprained his ankle last Friday and hasn’t practiced since. He may not be ready to go in time for Saturday’s game with the Browns.
Tightend Jermichael Finley spent last season on injured reserve. Finley returned to camp this summer with a new dedication.
