Wisconsin wind farm productivity near Iowa’s
Iowa may have the reputation for wind power but a new study shows output from Wisconsin wind farms is about on-par with those in the Hawkeye State.
The head of Renew Wisconsin, which authored the study, was surprised by the similarity. “We expected a bigger gap,” says Executive Director Michael Vickerman.

Lake search resumes for missing boy
The search is back on today for a missing 11-year old boy from a swimming mishap at North Pier off the Racine shoreline. A search was called off Sunday when high winds created dangerous response conditions with a strong current and large waves.

Bias charged in release of report on health care reform
An advocacy group charges state officials provided a biased look at health care reform. Robert Kraig with Citizen Action of Wisconsin said Walker administration officials were spinning things their way during the recent release of a report on the impacts of health care reform. “I think it’s obvious t the Walker administration has tried to present only the negative aspects of the report, in order to try put health care reform in a bad light, and has actually tried to obscure the incredible benefits that Wisconsinites are going to get.” [Read more...]
Packers & Colts: What to watch for
Here’s what I’ll be keeping a close eye on tonight in preseason game #3 between the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts.
1. TJ Lang has been named the official starter at LG, winning the battle against
rookie Derek Sherrod. Lang will see some speed against the Colts tonight,
seeing some time against former Chicago Bear Tommy Harris. The Packers
offense has allowed 9 QB sacks in the first two games. They need to shore up
