The Milwaukee Brewers second straight defeat has their fans on edge.
Last nights 8-3 loss to the Cardinals saw the Brewers lead in the National League Central Division fall from 10 1/2 to 8 1/2 games with back-to-back losses.
It’s not the end of the world. But it seems like it to some Brewers fans, partly because the Brewers have been so hot that they’ve spoiled their fans into thinking a 2-game losing streak is a big problem.

The Brewers hadn’t lost 2-straight games since July 23-24 in San Francisco. The last time they lost 2-straight at home was July 4-5 against Arizona.
Manager Ron Roenicke was a little testy after the game and he had a right to be. His team is being questioned because after one of their greatest stretches, they lost 2-consecutive games.
Jake Westbrook worked 5-innings and clubbed his first Major League home run, a grand slam off of Randy Wolf in the fourth.
The Brewers finished the month with a 21-7 record and would like to start September with a win to avoid a sweep. A win today would mean the Brewers would have only lost 1-game in the standings to St. Louis. But a loss would drop the lead from 10 1/2 to 7 1/2, still a good lead, but certainly one that would become less comfortable for Brewers fans.
Yovani Gallardo pitches the series finale for the Brewers this afternoon (3:10pm first pitch).
