The Green Bay Phoenix upset Valparaiso in men’s Horizon League basketball action on Thursday night.
Kam Cerroni scored 23 points and Alec Brown added 16 points in Green Bay’s 75-60 victory. Brennan Cougill added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Phoenix (8-12, 4-6 Horizon League) who improved to 8-1 at home this season.
The Crusaders (14-8, 7-3) dropped out of a first-place tie in the league standings, a half game behind idle Cleveland State.
Panthers win
The UW-Milwaukee Panthers got 12 points from James Haarsma and pulled out a 53-42 win over the Butler Bulldogs.
Milwaukee (14-8, 7-3 HL) used a 13-1 run to start the second half to pick up the win.
