UW-Whitewater knocked WIAC champion UW-LaCrosse out of the NCAA Division III Regionals this morning with a 10-7 win. Whitewater’s Jared Fon got the Warhawks going with a two run homer in the bottom of the first. The lead stretched to 10-1 heading into the top of the 9th, when UW-LaCrosse scored six times and brought the tying run to the plate before Whitewater got the final out. The Warhawks had lost all six times they faced LaCrosse this season. They will play again tonight at 7pm.
