There is still a strong chance Braun will find himself in the starting line-up. Kemp has been battling a hamstring injury and it’s unlikely he will play, possibly opening up a spot for Braun. Braun’s 5th selection ties him with Cecil Cooper and Paul Molitor for the most in franchise history.
Starting Pitcher Zack Greinke was surprisingly left off the NL Roster. Greinke is 9-2 this season with a 2.82 ERA, numbers that usually make you a lock for the All-Star game. The fact Greinke is slated to pitch on Saturday may have something to do with the snub.
