Mark Rogers struggled with his control, throwing 101 pitches through five innings, but it was still enough to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 7-0 shutout win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Rogers combined with Manny Parra, Jose Veras and Kameron Loe to hold the Pirates scoreless.
Carlos Gomez and Aramis Ramirez homered off of Erik Bedard to send the Pirates to their 5th loss in the last 6-games. The Brewers meanwhile have won 5 of their last 6 and captured a road series for the first time since the all-star break.
Rogers (2-1) win comes six days after he earned his first Major League victory.
The Brewers open a 4-game series against the Cubs in Chicago tonight.
