The Marquette Golden Eagles wrapped up their trip to Maui with a 72-64 win over USC. The game gave Marquette 5th place for the invite as the finish the week with a 2-1 record.
Jamil Wilson led the way with 19-points off the bench. He was one of four Golden Eagles in double-figures. Davante Gardner had 12-points also off the bench. In their 3-tournament games, 107 of their 232 points came from their reserves (46.1%).
Illinois knocked off Butler 78-61 in the Championship game.
Marquette is now 4-1 on the season. They are back on the floor Monday at the BMO Harris Bradley center as UMBC visits Milwaukee. A week from today (Nov. 29th), the Golden Eagles head to Gainesville to lock up with the Florida Gators in the Big East/SEC Challenge.
