The Marquette Golden Eagles held off a surging Wisconsin Badgers to take down Wisconsin by a score of 60-50 Saturday night.
The Badgers, who had a rough first half with 10 turnovers while shooting 34 percent from the field, went into halftime down 34-20.
Wisconsin rallied in the early stages of the second half with a 10-0 run to bring them within three points at 41-38 with just over 10 minutes to go.
After some big Badger misses, the Golden Eagles capitalized and re-established their lead by six, and held on to close the game out for the home win.
The Badgers were led in scoring by Ryan Evans and Jared Berggren who each had nine points, and Ben Brust had eight points. Sam Dekker led the team in rebounding with eight, and Jared Berggren had seven boards on the night.
Marquette was led by Junior Cadougan with 18 points, and was accompined by Vander Blue with 17 points. Vander Blue also led the team in rebounds with five, while Juan Anderson, Trent Lockett, and Jamil Wilson each had four rebounds.
Wisconsin takes on the visiting Green Bay Phoenix this Wednesday, while Marquette looks to continue their winning ways against Savannah State December 15.
