Wisconsin Emergency Management says if you need to leave your home, proceed with caution while driving today. WEM spokesman Scott Lieburn says “take your time, drive safe.” With clean-up crews working hard throughout the state, a lot of the county roads are snow-covered while main roads and interstates are “in pretty good shape.”
Lieburn says it was a relatively quiet night and credits Wisconsinites listening to Thursday’s message to stay home if possible. The state’s Emergency Operations Center concluded its Level 3 status at 8 this morning.
With the wet, heavy snow, Lieburn recommends those shoveling to take your time and “don’t push it too much.” In the past there have been incidents of injuries and heart problems while shoveling.
