Assembly Republican Paul Farrow of Pewaukee was unopposed Tuesday in a special election for the seat given up by Pewaukee Republican Rich Zipperer, who resigned in August to be deputy chief of staff in Governor Scott Walker’s office.
Farrow spent two years in the Assembly before seeking the open seat in the higher chamber. Farrow beat Republican Chris Kapenga in the primary election. As the result of the his win, the Senate will have 18 Republicans and 15 Democrats when the new legislative session begins on January seventh.
Farrow will take the oath of office next Friday.
