Although the archery deer season in Wisconsin ended Sunday, the DNR still welcomes wildlife observations from hunters until January 20. The agency is encouraging deer hunters, including those who participated in the gun hunt, to report their findings. “It’s the hunters chance to tell us what they’re seeing in the woods,” says Brian Dhuey who manages the agency’s wildlife survey. Dhuey says deer hunters see things “most hunters don’t see” because of the time spent quietly observing.
Additionally, the DNR is encouraging submission of trail camera photos of animals not normally seen in those areas.
